Resistivity lines are typically measured as a cross, two lines perpendicular to each other. Show on site map where crosses are desired by electrical engineer.

What “A”-spacings are desired by electrical engineer?

Typically 2’, 5’, 10’, 15’, 20’, 30’, 50’, 70’, 90’, 120’, 150’, 180’, 200’, and 250’. Total line length is Ax3,(eg. A=200’ is 600ft Total).

Is there asphalt where the resistivity lines are desired to be tested? How thick is the asphalt because we need to drill through it to make contact with underground soil?

Are there any fences or underground metallic pipelines where the resistivity lines are to be performed? Underground pipes will interfere with readings and fences stop us. The site should also be fairly flat as all electrodes should be at similar elevation. The electrodes are inserted about 3 to 6 inches into the soil.
